How listings appear on Huurwoningen.nl
Agents list their homes here themselves
Over 1,600 agents have connected their system to Huurwoningen. When an agent adds a home to their system, it's with us, with the same photos, price and conditions as on their own site. Our account management team is in daily contact with agents to make sure their full range is with us.
Private landlords often list only here
Anyone renting out a home privately, lists it on Huurwoningen for free. A large share of those homes isn't anywhere else. They're often homes without agency fees, and because fewer people see them, fewer people respond.
Home swaps
Two home-swap platforms list their homes with us. If you have nothing to swap, you can filter these out with the 'Type of listing' filter.
Whatever else is online, we add
If a rental home is on a site that isn't connected to us, we include it anyway, with a link to the original listing. That includes homes from housing corporations, which often require a registration. So you don't miss anything, not even what's offered outside our network.
Hourly checks
Nothing is more frustrating than responding to a home that's already gone. That's why we check in automatically, every hour, with the agent's system whether their homes are still available. If a home has been online for more than three weeks, we call or email the landlord ourselves. And if you spot a home that turns out to be unavailable after all, you can report it with the 'Tell us' button and our quality team will look into it personally.
Strict quality checks
Before we post an advertisement from a private landlord online, we conduct a thorough check. We verify that the advertisement meets our standards and contact the landlord to ensure they are reliable and the property is genuinely available.

Are all rental homes in the Netherlands on Huurwoningen.nl?
We bring together homes from over 1,600 connected agents, from private landlords, from two home-swap platforms and from other property sites. That's as complete as we can make it.
Why is a home sometimes still online when it's already let?
We the agent's system hourly. If the agent hasn't updated their system yet, we still see the home as available. In this market a home is sometimes gone within an hour, while the listing is still online. If you spot that yourself, report it with the 'Tell us' button.
What does "let subject to contract" mean?
The landlord has chosen a candidate, but the contract isn't signed yet. Responding usually makes little sense, but the home can become available again if the candidate drops out. Our quality team checks in on this process with the landlord and updates the listing as soon as possible.
