How quickly will my property be rented out?

That differs per property and per city, so we cannot make you a firm promise. What we do know: properties with good photos, a clear description and a realistic rent generally rent out faster than listings without them.

Roughly how many responses can I expect to my listing?

That depends on your property, its location and the rent. If you are open to several types of tenants and your property is presented well, that improves your chances of more responses.

On average, how long does it take before I get the first response?

Often faster than people expect. A property that matches demand in your neighbourhood will naturally draw a response sooner than one in a quieter market. Either way, give it a few days before you adjust your approach.

How do I get more responses to my property?

It almost always comes down to three things: photos that show the property well, a rent in line with comparable properties nearby, and a description that already answers the questions tenants have. Check those three and you usually see the difference within a few days.

How many viewings should I schedule before I find a good tenant?

That differs per situation. Some landlords find a match straight away, others schedule a few. Take your time, because a good tenant matters more than a quick decision.

Does my property's city or neighbourhood affect how quickly it is rented out?

Yes, supply and demand differ per region. You cannot change that yourself, so the best thing you can do is present your property as well as possible.

What can I do myself to rent out my property faster?

Good, clear photos, an honest and complete description and a rent in line with comparable properties nearby make the biggest difference.

Is the rental market favourable for landlords at the moment, or should I expect a longer search?

The rental market changes constantly, and what applies now may be different in a few months. That said, supply is scarce at the moment, which means properties are getting relatively many responses.
